Tinder users have swiped right more than 20 billion times showing they’re available and looking to make a special connection. But on Giving Tuesday, we’re asking our millions of users to be available in a different way – specifically, for those in need.
We’ve created a message people can easily share to any of their social networks, letting their community know they are available – whether that be to help a friend move, donate time to a soup kitchen, buy Christmas gifts for those who can’t afford them this year, or just be a listening ear to someone who needs it. On November 28th, for each person that shares the #imavailable message, we will donate $100 to DoSomething.org, a global non-profit organization that aims to motivate young people around the globe to take action on causes they care about most.
Whether you’re available to help a friend or classmate, or available to start making a difference in your community, we encourage you to give back and help someone in need.
How does it work? It’s simple!
- Select “Join Us” in the app or head to http://tinde.rs/Givingtuesday
- This site will offer a suggested status update to share on any of your social networks, or feel free to change it and make it your own.
- For every person who joins in saying #imavailable, Tinder will donate $100 to DoSomething.org (up to $200,000)*
